Like most of you, Bertram and I have gone through a whole range of emotions these past days. We’re worried for our loved ones, our friends and community and of course our more than 100 artisans in our villages.
But throughout the uncertainty and worries of the last few days, we’ve come to the conclusion that we don’t want to give in to our fears but to stand strong as a family. We want to focus on what we can do to make things a little better.
The first step was to implement work from home at full pay – both in Jakarta and our villages. It will undoubtedly be hard – but we want to take every measure to protect our family and ensure what we’ve built together lives on.
While we’ve canceled all upcoming events, our online boutique remains open. We’re working closely with our shipping partners to ensure everybody’s safety while we fulfill your orders and requests as quickly as possible. And of course we’re always here for you through our social media and customer service.
As the situation changes, our plans may too. But I believe what’s most important right now is to stay connected and to keep encouraging each other. That’s why we will continue to reach out, share tips, tell hopeful stories and put a smile on your face.
In all the uncertainty, let’s remember to be kind to one another, to support where we can and most importantly, to stay safe.
We're in this together,
