SELAH - Reversible Elbow Crop Jacket
HANDLOOMED BY MASTER WEAVERS IN
MEDONO VILLAGE, CENTRAL JAVA.
A minimalist Japanese-inspired piece for you to breeze between the changing season's weather. Fits with almost everything, the secret behind the allure of this jacket is in its subtle elbow detail and its deep pockets to keep life in order. Made with 2 layers of raw cotton, the jacket is reversible and gets softer with each wear.
STORY & PROCESS
SELAH is the space between. An invitation to find the freedom that we all have, the space between stimulus and response.
To achieve the randomized yet structured lines in SELAH, our master weavers manually insert and adjust the lines by hand - one at a time. The grey is achieved through a combination of Indigofera Tinctoria leaves and Ceriops Tagal wood, while the Khaki blends Ceriops Tagal wood with Terminallia Bellirica fruitskin. Taking more than 350hours to craft 1 piece, each establishes a connection between them and you, the wearer.
Color and pattern variations may occur and are part of the charm of this handcrafted fabric. We love that one-of-a-kind-feel!
