SERIBU BUNGA - Silk Cloth - Soga Brown
HAND-DRAWN AND NATURALLY DYED IN
GESIKHARJO VILLAGE, EAST JAVA.
A versatile and multifunctional fabric that can be worn as a scarf, a sarong, or even a wrap dress – entirely up to you and your creativity. Each of these luxuriously soft silk fabrics are finished with a traditional hand-roll stitch technique, adding a distinguished touch of elegance. One sarong takes our women one full day to stitch.
SERIBU BUNGA means one thousand flowers in Indonesian, an embodiment of our mission to empower 1,000 craftswomen in villages across Indonesia. Reinterpreting a forgotten Jasmine flower motif that has been passed down through generations in Gesikharjo village, each captures the soul of our work to let their craft bloom once more.
Color and pattern variations may occur and are part of the charm of this handcrafted fabric. We love that one-of-a-kind-feel!
