I often hear from our community about how surprising it is that the pieces from SukkhaCitta are so versatile. How they become your go-tos, how they never leave your everyday wash-wear ritual, how they grow with you.
Over the last year, I got to truly live in them. Through pregnancy, postpartum, and now, a completely new rhythm of life. And I have to say, it made me appreciate them in a whole new way.
These aren’t “maternity clothes.” Or travel clothes. Or just-for-special-occasion clothes. They’re simply well-made, thoughtfully designed pieces that move with you — through changes, through seasons, through the many stages of womanhood.
So here it is: My ultimate capsule wardrobe. Lived-in. Field-tested. And hopefully, something you’ll find just as timeless in your own journey.

1. Angkasa PagiSore Evening Dress
For when you need ease, and a little flow.
There’s something powerful about a piece that works with your body, not against it. This dress flows with you, wherever you’re at. Whether you’re feeling strong or tender, expanding or settling into yourself.
The shape is relaxed but elegant. You can wear it belted or loose, layered or simple. It’s designed to be worn and reworn across seasons, time zones, and life shifts.
My particular favorite is the ANGKASA PagiSore, it sparked so many conversations from strangers complimenting it! The white and botanical black carries the story of change. From day to night, from one version of yourself to another.

2. Classic Wrap Top
The “I’ve got this” top, even when you don’t.
This is the piece I reach for when I need to feel more grounded. It’s easy, but never boring. You can wear it wrapped or open, tied high or low, layered up or on its own.
It’s soft, breathable, and intentionally cut to flatter without fuss. Whether you're navigating busy days, slow mornings, or everything in between.
This top doesn’t ask you to perform. It meets you where you are.

3. The Heirloom Kain
The one piece I always bring wherever I go
Wrap skirt. Cover-up. Baby sling. Blanket. Shawl. Belted dress. You name it. I didn’t expect to use my Kain as much as I did, but now I carry it everywhere.
What I love most is how it invites you to play. There’s no wrong way to wear it. And over time, it softens and molds to your habits, just like all good things do. Here are my favorite ways to wear it.

I even got to wear it on our Mitoni (7 months ceremony) our Ibus hosted to celebrate as a blessing for our little Tara. One day, I’ll pass on this art piece to her. It truly feels humbling to see how this Kain becomes a future heirloom, a tradition generations of women have done in Indonesia. There really is nothing more meaningful than that.

4. Anyam Pouch
Tiny, but intentional.
This little pouch has become my everyday sidekick. Whether I’m traveling light or just trying to stay organised, it holds what I need. Giving me the comfort and ease of mind of knowing I have all I need with me even on days I can’t think of what to pack.
It’s made from our handwoven Anyam fabric, and comes in 3 plant colors (my favorite is the red one) and accentuated with a little cotton flower filled with cotton from our regenerative farms. A reminder that small things, when made with care, can still hold a lot.

5. Flora Silk Scarf
A story you carry with you.
I always bring this scarf when I travel. It’s soft and light, with the kind of beauty that doesn’t try too hard.
I’ve used it in all kinds of ways: as a top, a shawl, a belt, even a thoughtful gift wrap. What makes it special isn’t just the silk or the hand-drawn flowers from our Ibus garden, it’s the way it becomes part of your ritual.
A gentle companion for wherever you’re going, or whatever you’re navigating. And makes for the perfect gift!

6. Nomad Coat
My armour and comfort blanket in one.
There’s something comforting about the Nomad Coat that feels like a hug. This one has seen me through transitions, from speaking on stages to airport travels, to video calls from home when you need a boost of confidence. Moments when I needed structure but also softness.
It’s made from Tumpang Sari (regenerative) cotton grown by women farmers in our communities. The weave is breathable yet substantial, the kind of piece that feels just as good on a morning walk as it does curled up on the couch.
Quietly grounding. And deeply made.

7. The Kebaya
OK this truly is the iconic SukkhaCitta silhouette. This heritage piece comes in many interpretations, my favorite being the Kebaya Peranakan in Flora and the Kebaya Blazer. From fieldtrips to global travels, it never fails to fill me with pride knowing that I’m representing centuries of culture. Reinterpreted for today.
Fewer, Better
We talk a lot about building a better wardrobe. For me, it’s never been about quantity. It’s about finding pieces that feel good, do good, and grow with you. One piece at a time, it really is worth it to build a capsule wardrobe that works.
Wherever you are in your journey, whether in your boss-lady or your moss-lady era, I hope something here speaks to you the way it has to me.
