A contemporary Kebaya, inspired by heritage and designed for a fairer future. Imbued with the rich history of Indonesian culture, our Kebaya is an iconic piece to be worn and passed down through generations. An effortlessly flattering staple in your foundational wardrobe.
DETAILS
- A new heritage. Tailored with a fitted silhouette that follows your natural curves. Style yours formally with a Sylk Kain or casually layered over a tank with the KAPAS Wide Leg Pants.
- Naturally breathable. Made with our signature Eucalyptus fibre that we perfected for its beautiful drape and airy feel.
- Individually crafted. Each flower is drawn with hot wax, not printed by machines. It takes two weeks to craft the fabric and dyeing it with plants, which is then cut and sewn individually by our Ibus in Bali just for you.

The fabric is very comfortable on my skin. The design is everlasting, and I feel elegantly looking instantly.
I love how this kebaya can be dressed down but also up depending on how I pair it! If I want to wear this kebaya for something more laidback, I'd pair it with a pair of shorts and it still works! But if I want to wear it for a more ceremonial or formal event, this kebaya still does wonders too! I especially love just how soft and airy the fabric feels on my skin, which feels like second skin. This piece is so precious, I'd wear it with extra care. Considering it's handmade by Ibus, I treat this piece the way I would treat an artwork – with extra care, fondness and appreciation.
Kapas Kebaya instantly becomes a favorite that I can dress up (as a kebaya) and down (as an outer). Its soft product is airy enough for tropical weather and sits perfectly on your body.
The piece I received was made by Ibu S. Aminah. Coincidentally, it is the same name as my great grandma!
This will become an heirloom in my family.
