Handwoven Scarf in Selah
A scarf woven by hand in Central Java, line by line, from raw cotton and indigo leaves. It has enough structure to hold a knot and enough softness to sleep on during a long flight. It lives on the back of your chair until you need it, which turns out to be most days.
The stripes come from lurik, a cloth Javanese weavers have made for generations. We called this one Selah, a pause, after the quiet space the weaver leaves between each line.
