ANGKASA - Origin Kain
The statement accessory to complement your traditional and ceremonial clothing. Displaying the brightest star patterns that are well positioned so that you can style the kain as you please.
DETAILS
- So many ways to wear. Throw it over your shoulder as a shawl, tie around your waist as a sarong, style it as a dress, or hang it as a wall hanging.
- Luxuriously handcrafted. Each star meaningfully drawn by hand, with a tjanting and hot wax. Finished with hand-rolled stitched edges. Taking 30 days to craft by our Ibus, just for you.
- Natural dye black. Colored without chemicals, your piece is dyed entirely with Indigo leaves. Achieving this black hue evenly takes many years to master. Each takes 27x dips and 20 kgs of leaves to craft, just for you.
STORY
SINAR is a reminder to let your inner light shine. Our third ANGKASA series reinterprets the Javanese philosophy that has guided our Ibus for generations: Urip Iku Urup (We live to bring light). When we take up the courage to shine, we light a flame that together becomes bolder in brightness. Shining the path forward, for a future we believe in.
